Part 4: From Metrics to Momentum

Leading with emotion, not logic, in how you choose and create

Want to start from the beginning? Here’s Part 1: Why external strategies aren't enough to sustain visibility

What color do you choose?

Imagine five chairs.
Red. Yellow. Green. Blue. Purple.

Now answer quickly:
Which one do you sit in?

Most advice will tell you to make a list.
To compare features.
To assign meaning.

Blue means calm. Purple is regal. Green’s about growth.
You’ll be encouraged to choose based on strategy, symbolism, or psychology.

But what if you chose based on feeling?

What if your decision didn’t need to be justified?
What if it just felt right?

That’s emotional authority.
And for many of us, especially Generators with defined emotional centers, this is the only place true clarity comes from.

You’ve probably noticed it too

We’re often taught to lead with logic.
To explain. To prove. To be clear before we even begin.

But emotional clarity doesn’t work that way.

It moves like a tide. A fog that lifts. A warmth that returns.
And if we wait, if we learn the rhythm of our emotional wave, we find that what was once uncertain becomes obvious.

Field Notes: My first year on LinkedIn, I wrote like a teacher. Structured. Informed. Clear. And... Whomp Waaaa. Flat. I began to wonder if I had anything to offer. Others seemed so confident.  And I was as a professor, but on LinkedIn that didn’t transfer.

When I shifted to what felt good (even when all the advice warned against this), I started to find my rhythm. Not polished like I thought had to be representing the college, but present in who I was. Writing on LinkedIn was the first time I was doing something just to share who I was.  I was representing me.  Not a company. Not the prestige of my title. Not what I thought others wanted from me.

It was a bit bumpy for me. Felt like I was the first one walking through the weeds without a path to guide me.  But as I continued... what came through was more true. More resonant.  More me.

That shift was no accident.
It came from working with my Human Design.
It came from recognizing that what I thought was "messy" was actually my magic.

When you’ve lived this, you’ve experienced...

  • You delay decisions waiting for mental certainty

  • You overthink how to express yourself

  • You draft posts that sound right but feel wrong

  • You feel pressure to explain yourself to be valid

  • You rarely check in with how something feels

This isn’t about abandoning logic.
It’s about remembering feeling.

A gentle turn inward

Close your eyes for a moment.
Picture those chairs again.

Red. Yellow. Green. Blue. Purple.

Which one feels like how you’re feeling today?
Which one represents like how you want to feel?

That’s emotional awareness.
That’s decision-making.
That’s clarity, not from the mind, but from the body.

And if you want support with this... well, I’ve made something for that.

Grounding by Human Design Center is a guide to help you connect with your body, your energy, and your design. It shows how to feel into your center’s signals, so you stop spiraling and start sensing.

No human design knowledge required. I’ve made this one super easy, and I’ll even send your chart with an additional insight to your design. It’s all included.

A natural ripple

Since shifting into emotional-led creation, opportunities show up without me pushing.
Sometimes it’s a podcast. Sometimes a client. Sometimes an unexpected idea.

It flows because I am flowing.
Because I’ve anchored into the emotional wave, and I’ve learned to ride it.

Field Notes:  This is also what I guide people toward in my FlowPrints. They’re not a prescription. They’re a reflection. A way to see what’s already stirring and begin there.

You don’t need to force your energy into clarity.
Only to feel your way there.

How to start your rippling

Let your body lead.
Let your emotions breathe.
Let your clarity emerge in its own timing.

And if you want a companion as you learn to ground in a way that is aligned to your inner self... I’m talking about your unconscious self, this is where you start.

Grounding by Human Design Center will meet you right where you are.
