What if you could stop your mind from making meaning out of something… before it even gets the chance?
In this episode of Being in My Goodness, I'm sharing a practice called the Active Body Scan.
Unlike a traditional meditation body scan where you simply notice and stay still, this one is for those of us who don't always want to sit still or can't. You move each part of your body as you bring your awareness to it, creating coherence between your mind and your body in real time.
When your mind and body are connected, old patterns don't get the same grip. You stop creating stories out of numbers, outcomes, or moments that don't yet have meaning. Your past doesn't get to predict what's happening right now.
I use this one specifically during the weeks in my cycle when doubt and worry tend to show up — before I check email metrics, before I open something that might spin my mind, before I start something new.
The more I do it, the less doubt and worry get to run the show.
